Surface Treatment Methods for Copper Plates

1. Mechanical Polishing and Brushing

Fine polishing or brushing removes the surface oxide layer and impurities, giving the copper plate a uniform gloss or fine texture, providing a good adhesion base for subsequent coatings.

2. Chemical Passivation

Specific oxidizing chemicals are used to passivate the copper plate, generating a dense passivation film that prevents further oxidation and improves the adhesion of subsequent coatings.

3. Metallic Plating (Zinc, Chromium, Nickel, etc.)

Metallic plating is formed on the copper plate surface through electrodeposition or chemical deposition, providing an additional corrosion barrier. Color and gloss can be adjusted as needed.

4. Organic Protective Paint or Metallic Paint

Metallic protective layers such as metallic paint or varnish are sprayed or impregnated onto the copper plate surface, forming a continuous protective film that prevents oxygen and moisture intrusion and maintains a bright appearance.

5. Composite Coating Technology

Coating the surface of a copper plate with silver, low-melting-point metals (such as Sn, Bi), or polymer layers to form a multi-layered composite structure that combines the advantages of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and gloss retention.
